Do I need to choose a key before I purchase an accompaniment track?

No. Each song will be delivered to you in 3 keys - you DO NOT have to choose a specific key — you WILL receive all 3 keys (PLUS, a track with a vocal demo; AND a lyric sheet).

What will I receive when I order an accompaniment track CD?

We're sorry - CDs are no longer available. Please order via download.

What will I receive when I purchase an accompaniment track via download?

If you order a download - you will receive a .ZIP file with the 4 tracks (3 keys and vocal) and a printable .PDF of the lyrics.

What is a .zip file? How do I use it?

A .zip file is simply a compacted folder that is easy to deliver via the internet.

On most Mac computers, you can simply double-click on the zip file to unpack it.  On some systems it will unpack automatically.

On PCs, you can double-click to open. Once you've opened the .zip file, move the tracks to a new folder on your computer and you won't need to use the .zip file again.

Can I use my Iphone/Ipad to download my tracks?

We don't recommend using these devices for your initial purchase as Apple products are not "friendly" to any music tracks not downloaded directly from ITunes.

It is much better to download to your computer or laptop and then transfer your track to your device from there.

Can I use Heart Filled Music accompaniment tracks to create my own recordings?

Heart Filled Music accompaniment tracks are only for use in live performance and are not licensed for use in a personal recording project. You may not resell any music from Heart Filled Music whether on it's own, in combination with your own performance, or as part of a collection or compilation.

Do you issue refunds?

Sorry, we cannot give refunds on downloaded products since there's no way to "return" it.

If you recieve a physical product that is damaged or defective, we'll be happy to replace it at no cost to you.

PRIOR to checkout: Be sure to check your order quantity, be sure you have chosen the song title you really want to receive.

Helpful Performance Hints:

Rehearse - Prepare

Although our tracks are arranged so the singer can "hear" when they should enter or slow down, there is nothing like rehearsal to make sure everything goes smoothly. We recommend singing through with the track at least two or three times before your performance.

Each track has a vocal entrance that is easy to hear (a telegraphed vocal entry).

Still, you should rehearse the song in order to know where musical interludes and “tag endings” occur. Some songs have natural feeling ritards and accelerandos. Rehearsing will assure that you are aware of and comfortable with these elements.

Our lyric sheets include: interlude, chorus, and tag ending indications.

Novice singers should remember it can be difficult to sing at a funeral.

Choose a key knowing you may not be in your best vocal performance condition — it is better to choose a lower key than to miss the high note!

Breathe deeply - if you know that looking at the bereaved will upset you — then focus your attention elsewhere until the song performance is over.

If you find you won't be able to perform at the service once you are there, you can always use the vocal version.  They are perfectly appropriate for use.

Sing with all 3 keys to find a suitable key.

One day, the middle key may be fine for you and the next day you may be more comfortable with the lower key. Health, stress and other factors could change from day to day. That's why we include all 3 keys when you purchase your accompaniment track.

Be sure to sing on the day of the performance to confirm the key choice.

Are there women's/men's keys?

Not really!  Since everyone's vocal ranges are different, you can't define a key as "male or female" keys.

For instance, you may hear a song that initially sounds too high because there is a soprano singing the demo.  However, a guy might want to sing in that same key - just an octave down.

We supply three different keys for each accompaniment track.  Any of the keys may be good for either male or female, just depending on the singer's individual range.

It's a good idea to simply sing along with all three keys to see which is best for you!

We suggest you listen to and sing along with the vocal demo before you begin rehearsing with your instrumental track.

Our demo singers have performed these demos without over-done artistic embellishments. Their job is to show you the best basic way to sing the song.

Make notes on your lyric sheet!

If possible print your lyric sheet – don’t read from a phone.

You may want to make notes about where to take a breath, slow down a bit, get a bit louder, etc. Keep them simple, but clear enough that in the moment you will know exactly what they mean.

Use a podium music stand for your lyric sheet.

These aren't the lyrics I've heard!

If the lyrics you are accustomed to singing do not appear --  sing the lyrics or the hymn verse of your choice! Make sure you rehearse with the lyrics you want to use!

Prior to performance, make an inquiry at the venue as to their preferred music format — physical CD or MP3.

If you have downloaded your track, but the venue requires a CD, you can usually burn a CD on your home computer.

About using your Iphone or Android.....

You can often use your Iphone or Android device to play your track providing the venue has the needed mini-jack input needed. BUT - make sure you turn your phone to "Airplane" mode before taking the stage. You certainly do not want your performance to be interrupted by an untimely phone call!

Prior to performance, communicate clearly with the sound person as to which track you are using.

Be sure to know which track you need to use!

If you are using an mp3, whether on your phone, tablet, or USB drive, show the sound person clearly which file they need to play.

On mp3s, the key of the track is included in the song's title.

If possible, rehearse in the venue.

Don’t be shy about asking — it is important that you and the sound person are able to rehearse PRIOR to the event in the venue!

Heart Filled Music accompaniment tracks are not aggressively arranged so the volume can be set rather high for the audience without being offensive.

Sound in an empty venue should be set louder than you would think — as the audience causes the sound “to shrink.”

Be sure you stand and sing in the exact place you will be performing — be sure you can clearly hear the track before you perform.
